A Gorgeous Summer Day for The Winery SF Wedding
Although they became sweethearts in high school, Erin and Alex actually met in middle school! These long-term lovebirds began dating in their senior year of high school before moving to Chicago together after college. It wasn’t long before Alex popped the question at the couple’s favorite restaurant, and they began planning their big day. Together they selected The Winery SF for their bayside wedding venue.
Preceded by an intimate Jewish ceremony beforehand with immediate family, the couple were soon whisked off to their The Winery SF wedding ceremony on Treasure Island. Alex and Erin wanted a winery wedding in the city and this venue did not disappoint! It was a cloudless day on the bay for the couple’s afternoon wedding which took place outside with a perfect view of the Bay Bridge behind the podium, a seasoned oak wine barrel under an arch of floral sprays. The flower selection by Bluma Flower Farm and Floral Design really fit into the California urban winery wedding feel!
Erin looked stunning in a cream floor-length slip dress with voile overlay and train by Alyssa Kristin, speckled with delicate pearls which caught the afternoon light. The dress really popped against the wedding palette of navy and neutrals! With her hair pinned back into a classic elegant updo and pinned with a delicate floral clasp, looking radiant in a rosy bridal make-up, Erin’s natural beauty took center stage. She held a gorgeous bouquet in white, sage and dusty purple which was complemented by Alex’s matching boutonniere. Just beautiful! Of course, the groom looked dashing as well in a formal black-tie tuxedo!
This is a fun-loving couple right down to their fanciful footwear. From the groom’s colorful oxfords and alligator socks to the bride’s strappy sandals with rhinestone ball heels and “wifey for lifey” written on the bottom, their playful personalities were shining through!
Cocktail hour gave friends and family a chance to mingle and celebrate the coupling while enjoying wine and selection of yummy cocktails. The joyous crowd hoisted the couple aloft for the Horah, the traditional celebratory dance that’s a highlight at any Jewish wedding!
For dinner and reception, the party moved indoors to the Barrel Room where a wall of wine barrels illuminated by different color lights offered the perfect urban winery wedding atmosphere. The table settings were gorgeous, from the flowers to the linens, no detail was spared. Even the silverware was engraved with the couple’s wedding date!
After a sumptuous dinner provided by Melons Catering, the guests were treated to an incredible dessert spread to complement the beautiful 3-tiered wedding cake from Debbie Does Cakes, creatively plated on a natural wood disc and surrounded by more lovely flowers. Macrons and pots de crème, there was something for everyone. After the cake cutting, everyone moved to the dance floor for first dances and getting down to the sounds of the Lucky Devils Band.
