Bluegrass and Newlyweds
Music-loving, country couple Avery and Andy designed a beautiful Sonoma barn wedding that showcased their unique vision right down to their vintage western attire. The ceremony was held lovely rustic barn in the scenic Sonoma Valley location, complete with glittering chandeliers and white linen. The setting and aisle were adorned with flower bouquets from Evermore Flowers in the couple’s wedding colors, California Poppy and Sage. Very fitting for the location in the beautiful countryside of Petaluma! Five Springs Farm is owned by Avery’s parents and is a popular setting for many music festivals. She comes from a very musical family – her grandfather was even the founder of the amazing Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival that now takes place in San Francisco annually!
A painted mountain backdrop set off the bride and groom’s colorful outfits during the heartfelt ceremony. Everybody in attendance looked on in admiration and love for this couple! Avery looked radiant in a delicate white lace top with matching kerchief complemented by stunning crimson red pants with white floral embroidery. Andy polished up in a gray suit with red floral embroidery. His suit coordinated with his beautiful bride effortlessly. Both the bride and groom wore cowboy boots! Their puppy (Henry) also walked down the aisle in a tuxedo. Adorable!
A Five Springs Farm Wedding Means Live Music!
After the ceremony, the couple signed the marriage license in front of their guests and then it was off to the party. Guests enjoyed drinks and food in their semi-formal, stunning, western-style outfits. What a fun and eclectic crowd!
If I had to describe this wedding in two words, they would be “rustic elegance.” From the hearty appetizers served in wooden cones to the poppy and sage velvet chairs in the dining tent, no detail was overlooked in creating this refined Sonoma barn wedding. Every detail was an embodiment of Avery and Andy in every way.
The highlight of the reception came when the newlyweds took the stage to treat their guests to a first song instead of a first dance. This musically talented couple is known for their indie-folk acoustic music and played a special wedding song for their guests! Later the couple and their close-knit group square-danced the night away to the Dry Branch Fire Squad.
It was easy to see how loved this couple is and the strong bonds the built and shared between their loved ones on their special day. I was so happy to be included in Andy and Avery’s wedding. It was truly authentic to this unique and talented couple. Definitely a wedding for the memory books!
