A chance introduction by mutual friends in California created the spark for Denim and Jason’s international romance. Although initially, they were only able to spend two weeks getting to know each other, they continued their relationship long-distance until Denim finished nursing school in Oklahoma and relocated to Jason’s home country of Australia. Clearly it was meant to be as you can tell these two are a perfect match with their fun-loving personalities! Their Calistoga Ranch wedding was the ideal combination of these two kindred spirits.
Jason and Denim chose a Calistoga Ranch wedding in the heart of the Napa Valley wine region for their elegant outdoor event. The stunning scenery created a dramatic and beautiful backdrop for the ceremony held before family and friends from all over. The day was especially joyous for the couple as their union brought Denim’s family from Arizona and Jason’s family from Australia together for the first time.
The Big Day
Centered in front of a pond, the striking greenery of Calistoga against a perfect California sky created a wonderful contrast for the wedding palette. Denim wore an elegant A-line gown in white from Monique Lhuillier with flowing train and veil. The semi-sheer, fitted bodice featured lace applique and delicate pearls, creating a subtle sparkle in the natural light. Denim looked luminous in petal pink bridal make-up with a romantic long hairstyle in gentle curls, pinned with a glittering clip. The groom wore a black-tie tuxedo and was fitted with a matching boutonniere to Denim’s bouquet of white and shell pink flowers. Speaking of flowers, the floral design by Meredith Law was spectacular! From the wedding bouquet to the table settings and ceremony décor, the arrangements complimented the couple’s taste and the natural beauty of the venue.
After the heartfelt ceremony, the bride and groom joined their guests for a sumptuous dinner outside. Friends and family sat together at long, wooden, family-style tables and dined on exquisitely plated lobster and short rib provided by Calistoga Ranch. After speeches and toasts, the celebration moved inside for a spirited dance party led by Jason and Denim, who switched top pale pink converse because dancing comfortably is essential to the fun! Dessert was served when the groom and bride cut the lovely two-tiered wedding cake also crafted by Calistoga Ranch.

There was so much love at this event, it was a delight to capture Denim and Jason’s Calistoga Ranch wedding. Every detail was perfect, thanks in part to the talents of Alexis Alexander of Cole Drake Events, wedding planners and coordinators. I’m happy Jason and Denim could enjoy seeing their vision come together and share their special moments with friends and relatives from near and far. I wish them all the best!
