A chance meeting in Boston brought Bay Area native Alexandra and Maine resident RJ together, but as a couple, they’ve embraced California as home. RJ proposed in the beautiful bayside town of Tiburon and together they opted for a stunning wine country location for their Beltane Ranch wedding amid the rolling vineyards and oaks of Glen Ellen.
Established in 1892, historic Beltane Ranch provided a gorgeous natural backdrop for the ceremony which was held outside the landmarked Victorian farm beneath towering oak trees. With Ali’s father’s long history in the wine industry, this Sonoma Valley venue felt like coming home. Guests were seated in wooden chairs adorned with fresh flowers in the event’s colors. The wedding palette of ivory, green and sunset hues of oranges and pinks worked perfectly with the surroundings, providing beautiful pops of color and light. Eight bridesmaids were perfection in floor-length blush gowns holding delicate bouquets of ivory, pale orange, and pink flowers. Complementary groomsmen wore navy suits with ivory boutonnieres.
Ali looked mesmerizing in an elegant scalloped lace white gown from Mikaella by Paloma Blanca with plunging back and flowing train. The delicate train and long veil created beautiful movement as the bride walked down the aisle on the arm of her father accompanied by a live quartet. Allowing her natural beauty to shine, Ali kept things simple with a lovely updo, radiant neutral make-up and elegant gold and pearl earrings as her only accessories, and of course a sparkling wedding ring!
Guests enjoyed an exquisite cocktail hour in the gardens with refined appetizers plated so beautifully they almost looked too good to eat! Dinner was served al fresco amid a backdrop of oak trees against a stunning wine country sunset. Patio heaters and candlelit tables adorned with fresh greenery and farm vegetables created a rustically warm and glittering atmosphere for dining. Later, the bride and groom cut into a two-tier ivory wedding cake embellished with gorgeous fresh flowers created by Susie Cakes before guests took to the dance floor to finish off the night with dancing to live music provided by the Alison Sharino Band. Ali and RJ took to the dance floor with their own amazing choreographed first dance and then it was the father of the bride’s turn to shine showing off his dance moves with the bride during the father-daughter dance. With the epic sunset in the background, it was like a scene from a movie!
It’s as evident in the photos as it was in person that this couple deeply loves each other and are cared for dearly by their friends and family. While the details of Alexandra and RJ’s rustically elegant Beltane Ranch wedding were perfect in every way, the real focus was on celebrating love together.
