Wedding at Auberge du Soleil in Napa Valley

Having a wedding at Auberge du Soleil makes for one of the most picturesque weddings in Napa Valley. The stunning views of the valley and the romantic ambiance make it a dream location for any couple looking for a luxurious and elegant wedding experience. As a Napa wedding photographer who specializes in photojournalistic style, I had the pleasure of capturing a beautiful wedding at this venue, and I’m excited to share the details with you.

The couple chose a gorgeous color scheme of Red, Blue, and Pink. The bride, who is of Chinese heritage, selected the traditional color of red for her wedding dress, while the groom and his groomsmen wore stylish navy blue suits. The bride’s ombre dresses were custom-designed by season 5 Project Runway winner, Leanne Marshall, transitioning from light pink to deep red. The color palette was completed with red and blush pink floral arrangements and vibrant linens, creating a dramatic and romantic look.

The couple’s love story began on the dating app, Coffee Meets Bagel. They bonded over their love of whiskey and baked goods on their first date, where Sean requested brownies and the bride asked for a bottle of whiskey in return. Since then, they’ve been inseparable. Sean proposed at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, which was also where they had their first official date. Despite being the coldest day of the year, it was a magical moment that led them to their dream wedding day.

On the wedding day, the couple added personalized touches to their outfits. The bride gifted her bridal party bracelets from Bulgari and silk robes to wear while getting ready. The groom wore socks with their beloved dog’s face on it, and both the bride and groom wore matching watches from the same brand. The groom also donned a turtle lapel pin that the bride gave him for his birthday the previous year.

I loved all of the personal touches of this wedding at Auberge. The ceremony was officiated by the groom’s grandfather and the couple recited their own vows. Their pup (Sesame) couldn’t be there (the couple lives in New York), but was honored by naming the bar after him! And the Hermes boxes that every guest had at their table setting held a scarf especially chosen for them.

As a Napa wedding photographer, I couldn’t help but be captivated by the beauty of Auberge du Soleil and the stunning details of this wedding. The bride and groom’s love for each other was wonderful to see, and I was thrilled and honored to capture their special day.
