These two gems met their senior year Stanford University. Jessica was studying human biology and Matt was studying film. From the beginning of their relationship, film was a big part of their lives. They fell in love watching one of their favorite movies, The Philadelphia Story. They wanted to incorporate their love for film into the wedding theme along with touches of vintage Hollywood glamour. Their wedding venue, Villa Montalvo, was the perfect setting for their wedding. The stylist and coordinator, Events by Satra, kept the overall design simple, elegant and classy with pops of magenta and touches of gold and lace. The ceremony took place at the beautiful Love Temple Garden to provide a romantic setting lined with our favorite Italian cypress trees. The reception dinner tables were named after the couple’s favorite actors and actresses, and guests were escorted to their tables by custom made movie tickets! And keeping with the “going to the movies” theme, they were treated to a candy bar and traditional movie popcorn. Throughout the venue, they displayed custom movie posters featuring Jessica and Matt portraying the actors and reenacting the poster. The party continued after dinner with Jessica and Matt dancing the night away with close family and friends to many classic movie soundtracks. Oh, and they listened to modern songs too…
