We always love photographing an elopement at Auberge du Soleil! We can always count on the view to be epic, the staff to be super friendly, and the grounds to be stunning. It is truly one of my favorite places to photograph elopements.
This time, we got to hang out with one of our favorite hair and makeup artists, Carrie Aldous. It’s so nice show up and have a familiar and friendly face to start the day out right. I’ve been working with Carrie for years and years and she always makes my brides (and grooms!) look their absolute best – while still being “natural” and having makeup that lasts all day. I don’t know how she does it, but it’s magical! And full disclosure… I am a bride of Carrie’s – she created my amazing hair and makeup when my husband and I recently renewed our vows. I swear I have never, ever looked better in my life. Thank you, Carrie!
For this elopement at Auberge du Soleil, the couple came all the way from England. They traveled to Napa to exchange vows with just their young son, Rafferty. And he is the cutest!!! It was a hot day for Europeans, but they were up for anything… the olive grove, wandering around the picturesque property, and being silly. My perfect kind of couple.
Check out the super colorful bouquet created by EV Florals for this super colorful bride (can’t you just tell by her smile?!?). I am obsessed with the way the bouquet looks like wildflowers that were picked just that morning. But I know a lot of work went into creating it and making it last all day – and it did!
Their wedding cake had the same flowers on top to perfectly match. After they cut it, they brought it to the Michelin starred Auberge restaurant for dessert. Yummy! It’s one of the things that I love best about an elopement at Auberge du Soleil – it’s a 5-star property with a Michelin starred restaurant. Nothing could be better!
